You may believe that using Google Docs while connected to Wi-Fi prevents you from taking advantage of the pleasant weather. You can, however, transfer your workstation to a coffee shop, park, or any other location you would wish to work since Google Docs is accessible offline.
However, this Google Docs capability could be prohibited in certain organizations that provide Google accounts to their workers. Here’s how to access Google Docs offline for everyone else.
How to use Google Docs on a PC without internet access
Individual files or all of your files may be made offline. Selecting individual files is useful if you just require access to one or two files, or if your computer’s storage is restricted.
Here’s how to use a desktop computer to view certain Google Docs offline.
1. Launch Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
2. Sign into your Google account by visiting Google.com.
3. Select Docs by clicking the dot grid in Google’s upper right corner.
4. Select the file you want to make offline by clicking the three stacked dots next to it under Recent documents.
5. Select “Offline Available.”
With a few clicks, you may make all of your data accessible offline if space is not a concern. Here’s how to use your PC to access all of your Google Docs offline.
1. Launch Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
2. Sign into your Google account by visiting Google.com.
3. Select Drive by clicking the dot grid in Google’s upper right corner.
4. In the upper right corner, click the gear symbol.
5. Select Settings.
6. To create, open, and edit your most recent Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, check the box next to Create.
You must visit docs.google.com and download the Chrome Docs Offline extension in order to see your documents. The Google Docs page will open even if it loads slowly on your PC.
A file’s Google Docs symbol indicates that it is accessible offline.
This indicator should appear next to offline-accessible files in Google Docs.
Offline-accessible files will have a little icon next to them that resembles a checkmark within a circle when it opens. This symbol will indicate “available offline” when you mouse over it. You may begin writing or editing as soon as you click the offline document. The next time your computer connects to the internet, the document will update automatically.
How to use mobile Google Docs offline
Additionally, Google Docs may be accessed offline on an Android or iPhone smartphone. Here’s how to enable offline access to these documents on your smartphone.

2. Launch the application.
3. To view the document offline, tap the three dots (…) next to it.
4. Select “Make available offline.”
